Annual Fun Day 2017

Location
Cardinia Reservoir Park is located approximately 55km South East of Melbourne’s CBD. The reservoir park, which covers 247 hectares is home to many native birds, kangaroos and plants. The park offers visitors peaceful picnic areas, a variety of walking tracks. There are two reservoir viewing areas offering spectacular views over the water and surrounding district. There is lots of space and shady areas. The park is dog friendly.

How to get there
Cardinia Reservoir can be accessed from Wellington Rd (Melway 126 C11) or Red Hill Rd (Melway 210 G4). A one-way road loops around the main areas of the park

Activities

  • Lots of games for the children, some old some new.
  • Education component
  • The annual Great Basenji Sausage Eating Relay Race will be held, plus other games for the Basenjis and owners. All running games temperature dependant.

Extreme Temperature Policy
If the temperature for the Cardina Reservoir area is forecast above 35 degrees on the ABC news the night prior, the event will be cancelled. Watch our facebook and twitter feeds for any updates.

Non VBBA members are very welcome to attend, with or without a Basenji. If you are considering one as a companion this is an idea opportunity meet breeders, Basenjis and their owners.
