The Traralgon Railway Reservoir Reserve Park is a conservation reserve. The reserve comprises 29.5 hectares of varied bush and grassland with a lake in the centre which forms part of the catchment of the Traralgon Creek. As you enter the car park, there is an information board and bench seats marking the beginning of the gravel/boardwalk circuit. The park entrance is off Hickox Street. We will meet at the seats near the entry.
The reserve offers lots of places to sit, the walkways are treed for shade and the large reservoir attracts. Please note there are no toilets at the park – toilets are found close by in Traralgon or at a member’s home nearby.
What to bring with you:
- Light Lunch: Please bring a plate of goodies to share. BYO cool drinks and flask of coffee/tea.
- Although seats are available if you have a chair please bring it along.
- Crate for your Basenji (if you have one)
- Sunscreen
- Dog water bowl and cool water
