Our first Club Puppy Picnic was held 27th October 2013. A walk along the Warburton Rail Trail was held on the same day for adult Basenjis.
Whilst the adults enjoyed their walk the puppies had ‘free run’ in our member Suzannah’s yard. It is a wonderful event for the puppies who run and chase and great fun for their owners. The VBBA puppy picnic does have a serious side. It is great socialisation for the puppies and with a number of long term Basenji owners and breeders on hand new owners have an opportunity to ask questions about their new puppy. Questions about diet, grooming and training are always welcome.
The VBBA welcomes non members and anyone looking at the Basenji as a potential breed for a companion to our puppy picnic.
