27 Oct 2013 – VBBA votes to update its rules. Processes streamlined and General Meetings permissible by on-line/teleconference debate followed by secure on-line voting using up-to-the-minute technology. The voting system becomes it’s own returning officer ensuring that the integrity and accuracy of voting results is second to none. SOS Emergency Card

In February 2013 the VBBA launched its SOS Emergency Card. This is a new initiative and added benefit for Club members. The purpose of the card, which is credit card size and kept in ones wallet, is to alert emergency services (in the unlikely event the member is caught up in an emergency situation) that the person has dogs at home that will need attention. Half Century!

We are very pleased to advise that the VBBA membership exceeded 50 today (25 January 2013). We are certainly on target for our goal of 60 members before the end of the year. This is a great achievement for our Club considering the Basenji is not a large breed. Our membership is broad based consisting of single plus a large number of family memberships.
